Fundraising

Fundraising can be fun! Before you get started learn about MS and understand why you are fundraising and how your donations will be used to help those with multiple sclerosis. Here are ways that you can show your support.

  • Climbing for a family member or friend who has MS: If you have a family member or friend who has MS, show your support for them by officially climbing on their behalf. When registering online, please tick this option and advise the person who you are climbing for of your log on details so they can also access your fundraising page. This will enable both of you to fundraise for the event and share the glory together! You can also load a photo of you and the person you are climbing for onto your web page.
  • Climbing for someone who has MS: If you do not know someone with MS but would like to climb on someone’s behalf, we can partner you with a person living with MS who is keen to get involved. Please tick this option when registering online and we will match you up with a person who has MS. In doing this we will provide you with a photo, the first name of the person you will be climbing for, their age, gender and a short profile of who they are which you can add to your homepage.
  • Matching dollar for dollar: Many companies budget for charitable donations and have matched funding schemes to support worthwhile causes and their employees. If you need help with this, please contact us and we can help you with this process and provide any necessary supporting documents that your company may need.
  • Have fun: Enerflex Step Up for MS is a fun event so fundraising should be too. Once you have registered, you can create your own fundraising page by adding photos, posting progress reports on your training program, viewing notes from your sponsors and using the email templates to encourage donations from your friends and colleagues. There are even links to Facebook and Twitter so you can connect with your friends and ask for their support.

Where does your money go?

Every dollar counts!

Some of your friends or family may not have access to the internet, but, don’t let that stop you asking for their support. Download the Sponsorship Tally Sheet and keep track of all your supporters. Then upload the information onto your web page as an ‘offline donation’. They’ll still receive the acknowledgement and the thanks that they deserve!
